It is that time of year when we set goals for ourselves. We assess what we want to change in order to make life healthier and happier. Are you and your family getting the sleep you need to stay happy and healthy? In general, adults need 7-8 hours of sleep at night, and children in school need 9-11 (depending on their age.) Most babies between 4 and 24 months need about 14 hours of sleep, and 2-4 year olds need 11-13 hours. You probably have a sense of that "happy place" for you and your children. Over the Holidays many get out of balance. When we get worn down, we can get ill. At the peak of the flu season, this is a gentle reminder to have good nutrition and also good sleep.
